Barbera d'Asti Superiore DOCG
Area of origin
Monferrato. Hilly area between Asti and Alessandria, that extends to the Ligurian Apennines. Soils are calcareous clay, mixed with tufaceous and siliceous rocks.
After aging 14 months, 6 of which in wood, this Barbera can boast the appellation "Superior". Intense deep ruby color with matching highlights. The nose demonstrates rich cherries, typical of the Barbera grape, spices, and balsamic hints. The palate full-bodied with a lasting finish.
Enjoy this wine with Piedmont favorites like agnolotti, tajarin, and local cheese. This wine goes best with tomato-based pasta, porcini mushrooms, or even a savory pizza with generous toppings. Serve at 16-18°C
