Barbaresco DOCG Riserva
Area of origin
Langhe. The Langhe soil is very diverse. The overall area is rich with marine origins and specifically the Barbaresco zone tends to have more limestone, resulting in softer wines made from Nebbiolo. After a long aging of 50 months, 9 of which are in wood, the Barbaresco is considered “Riserva.”
Calcareous silty clay
The wine has a medium garnet color. The nose is spicy with hints of licorice, pepper, and vanilla. The mouth is full-bodied and shows balanced and elegant tannins.
This wine pairs well with traditional Piedmontese dishes, gamey meats, porcini mushrooms, and aged cheese. It has a potential for bottle aging. Serve at 16-18°C
